Back Blogging…

Hello,

I’m now back blogging again about my favourite hobby and interests, the world of board games and miniatures. It’s been awhile since I’ve even looked at the site and had time to talk about something interesting, I’m hoping what is scheduled in the next few weeks from Soda Pop Miniatures is going to have me posting every week if not every couple of days. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about It involves Super Dungeon Explore, Kickstarter, New Miniatures and a whole load of money from adoring fans. The next step in the world of Super Dungeon Explore is ‘The Forgotten King’, and what I’ve seen so far it looks epic. As a side note, I have been playing Zombicide with the great Season 2 products that came out of the Kickstarter, and following any additional information about Season 3. The only pictures and info so far have been a couple of interesting zombies with a sailor outfit and one wearing a construction hat and high-vis. There has also been some artwork for ‘Audrey’ (Big Bang Theory) and Elvis (Zombie) which could be some early designs for Season 3?…

…I feel like I rambled on a little towards the end but the main message is I’m back blogging. :)

Zombicide Season 2 Kickstarter Has Finished…

The Zombicide Season 2 Kickstarter was a huge success reaching the lofty heights of $2.25 Million, making it the most funded board/tabletop game on Kickstarter. I missed posting several of the new stretch goals and survivors due to the pace of the Kickstarter, and they added some real tasty ones. Here are all the ones I missed…

Some Cool Zombicide Painted Models…

Whilst browsing the comments section for the Zombicide Season 2 Kickstarter I came across these delightfully painted Season 1 Survivors and an Abomination. They look very cool painted and add some depth the Zombicide Universe, sadly I can’t remember who posted them but a huge *thumbs up* for some great looking miniatures.

Here are some of the prototypes for 3 of the new Survivors and a couple of the Zombivor equivalents. The prototypes for Dakota and Lea have been getting some negative comments, mainly due to the amount of skin showing, however I do think they fit into the Zombicide Universe pretty well adding to the B movie feel that Guillotine Games have created.

Just a few more updates from the Kickstarter. Lea looks like a cool addition to the Zombicide Universe, possibly a Zombieland nod!? Also the addition of the dog companions is looking epic, with several new scenarios running through my head…I’m thinking an ‘I Am Legend‘ inspired Robert Neville (aka Will Smith) survivor is needed! :)

What’s in the Box – Zombicide Season 2: Prison Outbreak

Zombicide Season 2: Prison Outbreak, is designed as a playable game in its own right, in the same way the Zombicide Season 1 game was. A new player can enter the Zombicide universe with this box, as it contains everything needed to play as a standalone game. Even more mutated zombies roam the streets, becoming more terrible than ever.

• 9 brand new, reversible, prison-themed, game tiles
• 90 miniatures including 6 survivors in both their human and “zombivor” versions, with 78 zombies including berzerker zombies
• New equipment cards such as baseball bats, shotguns, katana, concrete saws and even gunblades…
• Tokens to customize your missions: doors of various size, objectives, switches, barbwire, observation towers, and a security gate meant to rotate on the board to change the way you move around the prison corridors!

What’s In the Box – Zombicide Toxic City Mall

Shopping malls are a classic zombie movie setting… experience Toxic City Mall and “shopping” will get a brand new meaning! Toxic City Mall is an expansion usable in Zombicide Season 1 and Prison Outbreak Season 2. It contains new features to expand your Zombicide games and enrich your experience with new friends and enemies, as well as new game tiles, equipment cards and rules.

• 4 mall-themed reversible game tiles
• 43 miniatures including 4 new survivors in their human and zombivor versions, 29 Toxic Zombies miniatures and the Zombivor versions of Season 1 survivors.

IT’S HERE! – Zombicide Season 2 Kickstarter

The Zombicide Season 2 Kickstarter started yesterday at 4pm GMT to some huge reactions. The first hour saw the total shoot past the target and reach the lofty heights of $250,000 and beyond. They have  also announced several new survivors/zombivors through the stretch goals and keep adding to the great experience with additional zombies, dice and markers. I will try and keep upto date with the Kickstarter as it steamrolls past all expectations and hopefully gives all backers something special.

The total currently sits at $492,892 as I type, and It keeps increasing every second.

Possible Hint for Kickstarter Date!?

Today Guillotine Games posted on facebook another spoiler of the tokens which will be included in one of the new expansions. The tokens show some interesting barricades and new doorways. Alongside the image they stated this would be the last spoiler on a Monday before the Kickstarter, possibly later this week we could be finding out a little more about the world of Zombicide.

Zombicide *Update*

Just a quick update with some new sculpts (WIP) for one of the expansions or possibly a stretch goal for the Kickstarter!? The models, from left to right, look like a Zombivore character then the regular Survivor with the sawn-off shotgun. Next is another Survivor with a regular shotgun and then finally the Zombivore equivalent. They are looking pretty cool additions to the game and the excitement for the Kickstarter start date is growing!
